The ISO 14726 is an international standard for identification colors for the content of piping systems.
ISO 14726 Ships and marine technology – Identification colors for the content of piping systems.
The standard specifies a color scheme for main and support colors used to identify the content or function of piping systems on ships and marine installations.
The ISO 14276 describes the colors and color combinations used to identify systems from Bilge Water to Lubrication Oil. These color markings are often done as bands around the pipes and are better known as IMO pipe markings. The standard further describes how the markings should be applied, the positions and numbers and additional indications such as the direction of flow. See also our maritime tapes catalog for the standard IMO pipe markings.
