Barriers are used to cordon off roads and areas to keep out vehicles and people. These barriers are used for traffic routes and areas where there are potential hazards. Barriers can also be used to keep adjacent roadways clear. Barriers are used along footpaths and sidewalks to prevent parking. Barriers and (removable) fence posts are an ultimate means of keeping traffic out on factory roads, for example.
Bollards and barriers
High-risk areas at industrial and petrochemical sites such as H2S and CO areas can be demarcated with barriers. This is an effective means to keep out traffic flows and prevent unauthorized parking and material storage in and around and those areas. Fixed or removable barrier posts, possibly equipped with durable chains, can be used for this purpose. Along the walkways through the areas, safety zone signs can be provided to show the rules for entering the area in question. At water purification plants, barriers and obstacle blocks can also be used to keep traffic and materials out of explosive zones, in combination with prescribed safety signs.
Barriers for industrial sites
Safety barriers are installed to prevent collisions with people and equipment. From robust bollards to wheel pushers on overhead doors, all these resources contribute to the prevention of incidents and damage. Safety barriers go hand in hand with separating traffic flows and displaying traffic routes with lines. These resources are standard in standard safety colors and where necessary with reflective parts to improve visibility.
Barriers and markings for industrial hall and factories
Along roads where temporary access is granted, hand-operated barriers offer a practical solution. Easy to operate and a highly visible barrier to keep out unwanted traffic. Also at normally accessible roads to factories, permanent barriers can be placed during turn-arounds, start-ups and calamities to keep out traffic. Barriers are also used at loading bays for hazardous materials and entrances to tank pits.
