The ‘Gryphon A’ FPSO is a Floating Production Storage and Offloading unit, operated by Maersk Oil. The FPSO is normally situated in the North Sea on the UK continental shelve. In February 2011 the Gryphon set sail to Rotterdam for a complete refurbishment.
Maersk Oil North Sea UK challenged Blomsma Signs & Safety to update the complete safety signage and all safety related drawings for the entire ship and topsides within a timespan of only two months. We accepted the challenge and successfully completed the project through our proven Total Project Service method.
Blomsma Signs & Safety realized a full safety signage and safety drawings scope, IMO pipe marking and an additional scope of Safeguard® Anti-slip step covers on all stairs, directional signage and instruction panels.
Blomsma also installed a Escape route guidance system system including a measurement report and class certificate according to ISO15370. All IMO pipe markings where replaced or updated, a unique feature was adding GHS hazard symbols for marking hazardous substances.
