Blomsma Signs & Safety was asked by Keppel Verolme BV to offer a solution for renewal of the Rig Identification Signs (ID Signs) for the Paul B. Loyd, Jr. The ID Signs should be able to withstand the harsh offshore working conditions in which the Paul B. Loyd, Jr operates.
The durable and harsh weather conditions resistant Rig ID Signs are executed in the high visibility 3M™ Diamond Grade™ vinyl. Special measures are taken to prevent corrosion and delamination of the vinyl. This proven technology has already been used on various offshore projects. When produced and installed by Blomsma Signs & Safety engineers the 3M™ product quality and warranty will be applicable.
The experience of HeliOffshore members is that the Rig ID Signs are very well readable at distances up to 500 yards, day and night. This creates a perfect aid to prevent wrong offshore helideck landings.
