GHS labeling – Blomsma Signs & Safety has started with the implementation of GHS markers (GHS labeling) for locations in Western Netherlands for the Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM). Almost all NAM locations situated in the Netherlands has been provided with safety signs and markings in previous years by Blomsma Signs & Safety. With the impending deadline of GHS (July 2015) the end of 2013 marked the start of a campaign at NAM to replace all expired and old hazard symbols on pipes and tanks on all locations.
In addition to the ongoing projects in the provinces Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe, Blomsma acquired the order through the framework agreement with NAM, to update all West sites with GHS symbols and markings. During the project , inspection surveys and maintenance are carried out for the entire safety signage at these locations.
Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij BV (NAM) has explored for and produced oil and gas in the Netherlands since 1974. NAM is the leading producer of natural gas in the Netherlands and is a joint venture of Shell (50%) and ExxonMobil (50%).
