Blomsma Signs & Safety has been awarded the contract for realizing pipe marking for Vynova Wilhelmshaven. The Vynova site at Wilhelmshaven produces vinyl chloride and polyvinyl chloride. Vynova is all about continuity, reliability and excellence of quality and service through cooperation with its customers.
The pipe marking project will help the plants to operate safely and efficiently. The markings will provide information about the medium, direction of flow and any hazards of the substances in the pipes.
The implementation is based on legislation and regulations. The principal standard applied is DIN 2403, which includes a description of the use of colour, the GHS hazard symbols, the medium names to be used and the representation of the direction of flow.
The project realisation uses our SignSecure™ method, a step-by-step plan that assures the project quality. Using this method lets us ensure the project is carried out correctly, for instance with the right information on the various labels.
The pipe marking at Vynova Wilhelmshaven will be done using our unique PolyesPro® product, which was developed jointly by Blomsma Signs & Safety and 3M™. PolyesPro® pipe marking is composed entirely of 3M™ products with functional lifespans of at least 15 years. A unique feature of this product is the halogen-free fluid adhesive layer, 130 microns thick. The specially-developed adhesive layer guarantees the bonding and ensures a full-contact adhesive bond between the markings and the pipes.
Our team of 3M™ Certified Safety Sign Installers™ will be realising the entire project, supervised by a designated project engineer.
