AFS (Aircraft Fuel Supply) contracted Blomsma Signs & Safety to update the Safety signage for Jetplein and associated buildings in line with current legislations. The signage will be uniformly conducted with installed safety signs from previous projects on the tank farm, loading bays, offices and fuel pits on the Schiphol airport premises. The Jetplein project is a complete project covering all aspects of (safety) signage. Evacuation plans, escape route signage, pipe marking and safety area signs will be installed. The scope also includes directional (regular) signage and building identification signs.
A survey and a sign plan where conducted and engineered prior to the contract , which will be the basis for implementation. Base layers of the sign plan drawings (architectural plan views) where simplified for understandability and can thus be directly linked in the required evacuation plans.
The implementation will be carried out under the supervision of an assigned project engineer, work will be executed in accordance with the Live Saving Rules that AFS demands for all work on its premises and facilities.
