Working safely is one of the most important focuses of Blomsma Signs & Safety’s corporate policy. As a supplier of safety signs, we are aware of our exemplary role. HSE is part of our company policy, just like the objective of ‘working without accidents’ (zero accidents) and following our clients’ policies, such as the ExxonMobil principle ‘nobody gets hurt’, the BP Golden Rules or the Shell Life Saving Rules.
We are aware that we have the earth on loan from our children. Wherever possible, we use environmentally friendly and responsible materials. We split our waste materials for maximum recycling. In the area of fuel and energy consumption, we pursue a sustainable energy policy. You can read more about this on our ‘Sustainability’ page.
Our employees work in accordance with the applicable safety instructions of our clients on site. Virtually all our technicians have SSC-OLR (safety checklist for contractors – operational leadership roles) and our foremen are also trained as company emergency response/first aiders. A number of our employees also have certificates for hydraulic platform work and have had specific training courses such as H2S. Blomsma Signs & Safety is SSC certified.
In a global market with many types of providers, it is important to have certain assurances about the quality standards used by providers. Without such standards, quality is a relative concept that can quickly lose its value. International standards help to keep the playing field clear and equal and one of the most important organizations in this is ISO.
In order to guarantee our quality of service to both customers and suppliers, Blomsma Signs & Safety has implemented a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001-2015. This means that we have to meet a long list of requirements, which offers you the certainty that a project is in good hands with us and that we set the bar high.
Our quality management system is aimed at controlling and improving our business operations and processes within the organization with the objective of continuously improving our products and services. Blomsma Signs & Safety is ISO 9001-2015 certified.
On location our employees are provided with all necessary personal protective equipment. For example, all mechanics have their own PPE package with standard tools, but also specific dust masks and drop belts.
