Byk Cera awards Blomsma its pipe marking project

Pipe marking projects – Byk Cera BV, part of Byk Additives & Instruments, has awarded Blomsma Signs & Safety its pipe marking project. The project comprises engineering, production and application of pipe marking for the Deventer and Denekamp sites. After a pilot project, Blomsma has been appointed as the partner for the implementation.

The aim of the project is to apply markings to the entire pipeline system, thereby improving the safety on site and the overall picture of the process. The realisation work will be based on Dutch occupational health legislation, the Working Conditions Decree and the Working Conditions Provisions. The pipe markings show the colour for the medium, direction of flow, the name of the medium or process and any GHS hazard symbols.

Blomsma’s PolyesPro® pipe marking system will be used at Byk Cera as well. PolyesPro®, which was developed jointly with 3M™, is a unique polyester sandwich with a 3M™ MCS™ guarantee.

The project will be carried out by Blomsma Signs & Safety Hoogezand, using a designated project engineer who was also involved in the pilot process. Together with his teams of 3M™ Certified Safety Sign Installers™, high-quality and safe implementation of the project is assured.
