Blomsma Signs & Safety is contracted by Delfluent Services to implement the complete safety signage at two production sites.
Delfluent Services manages the collection and treatment of wastewater to the wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) Harnaschpolder and Houtrust. Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Harnaschpolder has a treatment capacity of 1.3 million pollution units (ve) and is the largest in the Netherlands and one of the largest in Europe.
After the engineering of a signplan, now the second phase commences. The scope includes the production and installation of all statutory safety signs, pipe markers and tank markings. Also, the evacuation plans are provided with an identical symbol usage as the physical installed safety signs. The safety signage includes marking the escape routes, route to assembly points, the clear identification of fire-fighting and rescue equipment but also indicating hazards, prohibitions and mandatory actions in specific operational areas and at chemical handling points. Multiple signboards are used to prevent a proliferation of separate icons.
The pipe marking is carried out in a high-quality 3M™ Scotchcall™ MCS (Matched Component System) combination, and applied by our 3M™ Platinum Graphics Provider certified mechanics. The markings are provided with a UV-inhibiting laminate which also is resistant to base chemicals. The markings on pipes containing hazardous substances are provided with the prescribed GHS symbols.
Blomsma has many years of experience in signing WWTP’s of several clients and applies lessons learned in order to achieve an efficient and uniform market signage system. Our extended knowledge of standards and laws relieves our clients to achieve a practical and compliant situation.
Delfluent Services (DSBV) was established in 2003 by the water companies Evides and Veolia. From December 2012 Evides has become a 100% shareholder of Delfluent Services. Evides is an important and especially innovative player in the world of (waste) water treatment.
