Blomsma Signs & Safety has received the contract of AEB Amsterdam (AEB) for updating all evacuation plans and safety plans.
It concerns the waste disposal site in the Amsterdam port area; the HRC (High Efficiency Power Plant) and AEC (Waste Power Plant) and accompanying buildings.
From a survey on site the structural situation is checked, the presence and positions of fire-fighting and rescue equipment and the possible escape routes which are subsequently updated in all drawings.
Also, all positions of the evacuation plans are evaluated on visibility and logical positioning.
Principles for both the evacuation plans and the safety plans are the NEN1413, NEN1414 and ISO23601. With the recent update of the NEN3011 and the NEN-EN-ISO7010 in force for graphic symbols, these will be applied for symbol usage. The NEN1414 is currently under revision to update the relevant symbols and will be published shortly. This ensures that the AEB safety drawings are executed according to the latest standards and standard developments.
