Signage update DCV Aegir – Heerema selected Blomsma Signs & Safety for updating the safety signage for its new Deep Water Construction Vessel (DCV) Aegir.
Objective of the project is to increase safety on board and to ensure the signing is compliant to international specifications.
The scope includes improving the escape route signs with a clear philosophy on visualizing primary and secondary routes, consisting of direction indicator signs, low location lighting, cabin safety instructions and escape plans.
For the escape plans, the entire structural situation regarding the drawings will be checked and supplemented where necessary and simplified.
Furthermore, all signage for firefighting and rescue equipment, safety zones and supporting indicators (eg deck numbers) will be applied.
A signplan consisting of a survey on location, detailed engineering and(CAD) draftworks is the basis for the entire implementation.
Besides the Signage update for DCV Aegir, Blomsma Signs & Safety will also produce a Safety Plan in accordance with the latest guidelines from the ISO17631.
